Dee Gruenig in Town!!

Last weekend was so much fun. First I attended a demo night featuring non other than the wonderful Dee Gruenig!! She came to do an intro demo and 3 classes the next day at Rhonda's Creating Craft Center on 2nd st in Albuquerque, NM. She is such a lovely sweet lady... and SOOO talented!! Did you know she has a Masters in Art from Standford Univ???... Did you know she was a Stampin' UP! demonstrator for 9 long years before striking out on her own!! Now she has her own line of stamps and they are so easy to use. She uses a system called Easymount... the RUBBER stamps are mounted on a foam backing that CLINGS to an acrylic block!! No more piles of wood blocks to store and hunt through!! What a concept!! Anyway... she demo'd lots of neat techniques, using her blending blocks, sort of like the spectrum pads SU has, only smaller and really easy to do colored backgrounds. There was also a demo on using pastels on BLACK cardstock to create very vivid tags and cards with brush markers!! I'm including some of the pictures. Showing what I got to create the next day. Dee showed us how all her stamps are stored with the easymount system. I've included pictures of her large tag she demo'd using the Queen Anne's lace stamp, and the Southwest stamps. But first, here's a picture of me and Dee!! I'm the one on the left of course, and Dee is the Lovely Lady on the right.
