Sweet Stems

This is another card we did in our monthly Sunday workshop. I used the new Sweet Stems stamp. The layout was actually cased from one I saw online, but I changed up the ribbon and it's placement and added a little sweet stems stamping to the background. Colors used were barely banana, riding hood red, whisper white, and kiwi cardstock. The images were stamped with black stazon and then colored with markers in pumpkin, olive, and regal rose. The ribbon is the new Kiwi and Vanilla satin two sided ribbon.

Wonderful You

This week at stamp club my stampers will make this lovely card using the Wonderful You stamp set and matching wheel.

This is a different variation of stamping the flowers without outlining them. Gives an entirely different look.

Each month I try to teach my friends something new. If you would like to attend any classes as a club member or guest.. please contact me!! We meet the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Easy Elegant Cards

These are some of the cards we did today at our EE Card class. The Blue rose cards (featured on a previous post) were also made. I was trying here to see what other colors would go with the new Tangerine in color. I paired it with So Saffron ink, Kiwi ink on the Old Olive card base, and Mellow moss for the leaves. Also made one of those little "popscicle" cards from some scraps.

The following I used Cameo Coral with the Tangerine, and added some cosmo glitter. I wasn't overly fond of the glitter colors, but I know someone who will love this card!! Ribbon was the Groovy Guava from the retiring In-colors. DP is River Rock.

These are the Saffron and Tangerine mixes. I think they coordinate well.

Easy Elegant Cards

I started holding some classes to get stampers more familiar with some of our Gorgeous retiring stamps... so 2 months down the road they won't say.. Gee, I wish I had ordered that!! This week I featured our "Wild Rose" stamp set. I cased a card from SCS, changing up the stamped image and adding a bit more embellishment. I also made a 6x6 scrapbook page for those who like to scrap!! Ribbon at the corner of the page allows you to attach a photo easily, or you could cut around the larger rose to stick the photo behind.

Here are the cards... one with a large rose, or you could use the rose buds. I did use the new Pacific point blue and Baja breeze inks for the roses, and our chunky glitter to add a little pizazz.

Riding HOOD RED!!! and Pink!!

Can we say.. "Little Red Riding Hood"? ... well, not exactly, but I think the new name of one of our new in-colors reminds me of that... ie.. Riding hood red... So had to try it with the Blossoms abound set, since that's the set we've been using this week.. Trying to get as much use out of it before it's GONE FOREVER!! The green polka dotted paper I used is the reverse side of the new DP paper we were able to pre-order. What do you think?? Used Kiwi Kiss again for all the leaves.

So now I had to make the large envelop to hold all the blue cards.. so here it is.......I used the LG whisper white envies from SU, glued them tog and stamped them all over. I did put a strip of torn CS up the left edge.

Here's the set of two cards and envelope holder.

NEW In-COLORS!!!!

Have you seen the new In-colors! I had to make a card using the Pacific Point and Baja Breeze.. threw in some Kiwi for the leaves. Card was cased from Amy Celona. She comes up with such beautiful layouts. Enjoy!!

Spring Silhouettes

Spring Silhouettes Designer Paper with Soft Sky, Bayou Blue, Wasabi Green

I took the Tart and Tangy Box and patterns (demo planner designed by Andrea Walford) and created an entirely different look using the SU Spring Silhouettes DP, Baroque Motif, and Stitched Exotics stamp sets. Additional cardstock and inks included Soft sky, Bayou blue, Wasabi green, Celery 5/8 " ribbon, stitched bayou blue grosgrain , soft sky stitched grosgrain ribbons. My "Pretties" kit added just the right touch for some of the medallions with a center pearl.
Set of 5 cards and Box

Each card is a little bit different, some I reversed the DP to be on top vs the bottom.

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Scalloped Notes and Brocade....

Many of us have been trying out some of Andrea Walfords' tutorials and demo planning kits. I took her little scallop note tutorial and added some variations. Instead of making the box of designer paper, I decided to use the Brocade Basics stamp set on cardstock, since it matched the DP I used to make the scallop notes. I added some silk and paper flowers and the new chocolate twill tape for the closure.

I made 4 note cards, each with soft sky on the inside to write a note. Our stamp club hostess, Margo was the lucky recipient of this Door Prize!!

Inspired Blooms

I get updates from some blogs I love to see their creativity..and Michele on Inspiration Blooms has been making some gorgeous 5 petal flower cards using the Delight in Life (now ret) ss. I was inspired by her card here "Floral Delight" to make this card for my dear friend Rhonda who has had some more problems from her recent surgery. I used the new Print packs designer paper for the background and just punched out flowers from various scraps of some other DP I had. What do you think?

Acetate Tags anyone??

I had to try these acetate tags. They are heavier than normal sheets of acetate you find at the office supply stores. SU has so many cool rub-ons this year that just lend themselves to acetate. Combine those with Silk flowers from the Pretties Kit and some of our designer paper, and fancy ribbons and you can create the neatest tags for gift giving or to attach to presents. The "purple large flower with red ribbons" was created using Ruby red, and real red markers. It didn't turn out as deep true red as I wanted , so I took it off, and colored another daisy with Dyna Flo fabric dye from Jacquard. It's truly a REAL RED. The brown and yellows are the next smaller sized flowers in the kit, combined with the new felt flowers from Flower fusion. I used brown and white rubons on that tag. My friend Erica (See Erica's blog), used my original "purple colored" daisy and put it with Berry Breeze papers, chocolate, black rubons and an array of pomegranate, pink, brown, black ribbons. Enjoy!!

Red Burst of Color

I saw a card on SCS (for those of you.. that's Splitcoaststampers.com ... a website devoted to rubber stamping) that was called "A Burst of Red".. I cased the card and changed it up a bit, putting my own touch on it. I used the spray from Stem Silhouettes (a retired SU set), with Really rust, ruby red, and saffron inks. I restamped the image and punched it out, backed it with the ruby red and mounted it on the card for a very simple, quick, bold card!! You can add any sentiment you want. As you can see, it can either be portrait or landscape! Enjoy!!
