Valentine Contest & Blog Candy

Ok...here's all the loot!!! Can you imagine all this?? This pile of goodies will be divided into 4 groups to be given away. My friends Robin at Memory Lane Scrapbooks , and Rhonda at Rhondas Creating Craft Center, here in Albuquerque, gratuitously donated much of the goodies. There are Coluzzels, brass templates, stamp sets, little mini clipboards, chipboard books, cards and card fronts (from my sample collection), ribbons, alterable tins, slide holders (both single and double), and embellishments of all kinds. Be sure to go visit their stores if you are in the Albuquerque Area. This contest and blog candy giveaway is limited to people residing in the continental USA with a USA postal mailing address. If you live in Canada and have a USA postal address.. you can enter too!!

How can you win it?? Here's how: Theme is Valentines, and can include non-traditional, Oriental, traditional, altered arts, etc.. anything composing a Valentine, and must include a HEART somewhere on the original item. You enter the contest by doing one or all of the following. Yes, you can enter more than one category. ALL items must be submitted NLT 1 Feb 2009.

1. Blog Candy Comment: Leave a comment on this post, telling me what is your favorite Stampin' UP! Valentine stamp. Preferably a current one. Have you seen the new Love You Much Bundle available now for sale?

2. Valentine Card: Design and make your own Valentine card using CURRENT Stampin' UP! stamps and products. Email the image and instructions of how to make your card to me and I will put all in a gallery to be viewed and voted on by everyone. All cards/imaged need to be sent NLT 1 Feb 2009, so they can all be loaded for voting.

3. Valentine Ornament: Design your own Valentine ornament, using CURRENT Stampin' UP! stamps and products. This could be a little hanging lantern (Oriental style would really be cute using the Eastern Blooms set, or any other set), or a potpourri hanging cone, a decorated ball or globe ... these are just ideas.. Whatever can be stamped and decorated and can hang from a tree, wall, or bracket. Send the image and instructions on how to make your ornament NLT 1 Feb 2009.

4. Childrens' Home school category: I have set up this special category for kids up to age 12 who are home schooled. Create your own design of a valentine card or ornament and send the image and instructions to me. I am creating a special package of goodies to give to the winner of this group that are geared to that age level. You must do all the work yourself, you can have some guidance from your mom or dad, but try to do all the design, stamping, altering, creating yourself. I am doing this one special group because my daughter home schools her children and has helped me a lot with setting up my new website.

If you don't have any current Stampin' UP! stamps, maybe you could borrow one from a friend, or even order one online, on my ONLINE Shopping link!! If you really can't get hold of a current SU set, use whatever set you have and make sure you include a HEART on your finished product someplace. I will put these NON-SU items in a separate gallery and will give a consolation Blog candy to that winner also.

I will set up a gallery on a Yahoo group where all pictures for each category will be entered. I will set up a voting poll on 1 Feb to last through 9 Feb 2009. At that time, the card and ornament with the most votes will be posted on my blogs WITH instructions, so eveyone can have an opportunity to make them. I will mail out the blog candy packages after the voting is complete.

I have to limit this contest to anyone in the CONTINENTAL USA as far as receiving any of the prizes, because of postage costs to overseas/non USA addresses. Sorry Canada and Mexico, UK, Aus, .... unless you have a USA postal mailing address.

Ok everyone.. Let the Contest Begin!! This same contest will be posted on my new website www.highdesertstamper.com

What a fun blog candy! I think I'm going to have to go with Love You Much as my favorite stamp set. I would say You and Moi (I some how just discovered this set) as it is fairly subdued, but the birds on the Love You Much set are just too darn cute. :) - Jennifer

Right now, I will have to go with Love You Much....am really having fun with it and not only do I like the open font "LOVE" sentiment but I like that it has a "friend to friend" sentiment so it doesn't have to be mushy if you don't want it to be. Jan

I think the Love You Much Bundle is a good value...mine hasn't come in yet, but I can't wait to use it. Think the punch will be used a lot!

This is such a great even that you've put together. I just love Valentine's Day. I think it's one of my best memories of childhood. Make Valentine's and then sharing them with family and friends. I can't even begin to pick ONE favorite set. I love them all. Past and present. I can't wait to sit down with my son and create some cards this year. The Love you Much set is just wonderful.

I like the picture on you on your blog. My favorite Valentine stamp is the Love You Much set we're going to use for the class, heart punch included. Gail S.

Well, I really, really love the Love You Much stamp set, and have made many projects with it to display my affection :-), but I have to say that my very favorite set is A Happy Heart. I just love the little dandelion with the hearts blowing away, and the tic-tac-toe stamp.

Thanks for offering blog candy. How fun! I have my fingers (and toes) :-) crossed.

Thank you for offering Blog Candy! How fun! Well, my favorite set is A Happy Heart because I adore the little dandelion with the hearts flying like seeds, and I really enjoy using the tic-tac-toe stamp as well. I've also really like the Love You Much, and enjoy using the scallop one with our punch.

I have to say that my favorite set is Love You Much, with You and Moi my second. I, too, didn't notice You and Moi right away in the last catty but I think it's definitely my second choice. I love the pair of kissing birds in the Love You Much. I also really like the Love wheel.
